Terms of use

Moonzy is a place to practise crypto trading with virtual funds. These terms explain what that means and the rules for using it.

Paper trading only

• Every account starts with 10,000 virtual USDC. Virtual funds, positions and profits have no monetary value. They cannot be deposited, withdrawn, sold or exchanged for anything.
• Moonzy never asks for a wallet, a deposit or payment details.
• Orders are simulated. They fill at a cached price plus a simulated spread, not on any exchange. Results on Moonzy do not predict results with real money.

Not financial advice

Nothing on Moonzy is investment, financial, legal or tax advice. Prices come from third-party sources, are refreshed on a schedule and can be delayed, incomplete or wrong. Crypto assets are risky; make your own decisions and seek independent advice before investing real money.

Price data

• Prices for major coins come from the CoinGecko API, which is the property of CoinGecko. Prices for other tokens come from DEX Screener.
• These providers supply their data as it is, without warranties. Neither CoinGecko nor DEX Screener is liable for any loss arising from your use of their data or of Moonzy.
• You may not copy, redistribute or resell the price data shown on Moonzy.

Your account

• You sign in with a supported provider and are responsible for your account. One account per person.
• Moonzy is intended for people aged 18 or over.
• You can export your trade journal at any time from Account.

Public profiles and the leaderboard

Your display name and returns appear on the leaderboard. If you make your profile public, other signed-in traders can see your handle, bio, returns and each holding's share of your account. They never see your balance, trade sizes or journal notes, except notes you choose to share to the feed. The leaderboard has no prizes.

Shared trades and the feed

• Shared notes are your own views on paper trades. They are not financial advice, and nobody should treat them as advice.
• Do not share spam, ads, scams, pump-and-dump calls, abuse, or anything that pretends to be someone else.
• Shared notes are plain text and cannot include links, @handles or contact details, such as Telegram or Discord invites or “DM me”.
• Any signed-in trader can report a post or a profile. A post that 3 traders with accounts at least a day old report is hidden until we review it. We may remove posts and stop accounts from sharing or reporting.

Acceptable use

• Do not impersonate others, or use names, handles or bios that are abusive, misleading or infringe someone's rights.
• Do not attack, overload, scrape or try to get around the limits of the service, or access other people's data.
• We may change or remove names and profiles, and suspend accounts, that break these rules.

The service

Moonzy is provided as it is, without warranties, and may change, pause or end. To the extent the law allows, neither we nor our price data providers, CoinGecko and DEX Screener, are liable for losses arising from using Moonzy, including decisions you make with real money. We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version.
